Increasing/decrasing sound volumes in ac

Ever get the problem of using a new sound file instead of the original and it be too loud, or not loud enough?
Well I recently stumbled across this on the forums, and I figured this would help you a bit.
Just dive into your sounds.cfg file, and look for the sound (line) you want to edit. We'll use the headshot one as an example.
registersound "misc/headshot" 10 // 49 - S_HEADSHOT
That's what the normal headshot sound line looks like.
But see that '10'? That's the volume control. If you're like me and use the g-g-g-gang banga sound mod para was so generous enough to make, then you might wanna try boosting it to 40, maybe 60. It really amps it up :).
I hope this will help you guys a lot.
Happy Fragging, and Better Modding!

Side note: You can also change the path of the sounds too. Just make sure it's .wav or .ogg format!

Zitat von edward im Beitrag #10
and what about this line :1
registersound "player/footsteps" 40 1 20 // 53 - S_FOOTSTEPS
Which one should we change :p
Ah, that has 3 sound settings, much like the sound enitities used in mapping. One is volume, one is sound size, and the other is a 'fading' effect. The first one I believe would be the loudness.
As Dams suggested, try manipulating with it and hear for yourself! :3
